Satish Jha is the Chairman of Pinewood Partners. He is an investor in energy. education, healthcare and social enterprises and has held global technology responsibilities for Fortune 100 businesses. He was appointed Advisor to then Ministry of New Energy Sourced (now MNRE) by the Prime Minister of India and was a deputy to Dr Manmohan Singh, later Prime Minister of India, at the South Commission in Geneva, Switzerland.

He studied international relations at the Fletcher School of Law & Diplomacy, Science Policy at the Kennedy School of Government, political economy at Erasmus Unuversity, Holland and earned an MBA from EDHEC, France.
