David Bender is a Senior Associate at Fathom Fund. He brings over a decade of technology and startup experience to his current role in deep tech venture capital at Fathom Fund. In this role, he performs in-depth technical and financial due diligence, source and screen deals, and manages the portfolio.

In his previous role at Boston Consulting Group, he focused on growth strategy and operations for energy and aerospace clients. Notable work includes executing the F-18 SLM program for the US Navy and standing up a public/private partnership for a hydrogen industrial hub.

He was a PhD candidate in Chemical Engineering at USC, where he developed novel materials, analytical models, and robust processes for the manufacture of out-of-autoclave composite structures, with emphasis on fast cure and repair.
