Ben Brenner is a seasoned clean energy federal affairs leader, policy advisor, teambuilder and federal appropriations wonk.

At Boundary Stone Partners, he draws on a decade of public, private and nonprofit sector experience to find creative solutions to hard problems, across today's defining energy challenges: spiking demand, geopolitical competition, economic disruption, climate change and more.

Ben served as a nonpartisan legislative liaison for the U.S. Department of Energy’s Chief Financial Officer under both the Obama and Trump Administrations, responsible for securing billions of dollars in annual appropriations for DOE's expansive applied energy, science, nuclear security and nonproliferation programs.

Before his time at DOE, Ben served as a Legislative Assistant to Senator Carl Levin of Michigan, where he helped Michigan companies navigate the Department of Defense’s procurement process and advised the Senator on major pieces of gun safety and immigration legislation.

Ben is a proud Michigander and holds an MPA from Princeton University and a BA from McGill University in Montréal, Canada.
