Aziz Haniffa
Aziz Haniffa is an award-winning journalist, is the Executive Editor of Desimax. For more than three-and-a-half decades, he was the face of the iconic India Abroad newspaper — the oldest and largest paid circulating South Asian newspaper in North America — up until its untimely demise in March 2020 after 50 years of publishing.
Starting out as a rookie reporter in the early 1980s, based in Washington, D.C. covering politics and diplomacy as it pertains to US-India/South Asia relations, and the burgeoning Indian American community, he rose to become the newspaper's legendary Executive Editor, whom former Indian Ambassador Taranjit Sandhu described as "one of the best-known names among the Indian American community in the United States."
